● Between August 2022 and August 2023, Cameroon saw an increase of approximately 68,289 internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Extreme-North, raising the total to 453,661 IDPs (DTM Mobility Tracking August 2023), while the number of returnees also rose to 198,940 individuals by August 2023.

After months of consultation with profesionnals from different works of like on the ground in Cameroon.
Regina created a three-tier project with the aim to train professionals from all backgrounds to equip them with skills to help deliver the much needed quality mental health support to people with common mental health difficulties, and to disadvantaged groups in the community including people internally displaced by war.
She started phase one by providing online training to a small group of professionals who shared her vision. They quickly learnt skills in promoting mental health, raising awareness, and reducing stigma.
They carried out interventions and ran workshops with targeted communities testing the knowledge and s skills gained. The fieldwork revealed the huge need for primary mental health training and delivery of early interventions at attendees requests.

Our local organization, including specialist psychological therapists, psychiatrists, and other related professionals, will supervise and validate your therapeutic competencies during your training and subsequent employment at your service or practice location. The training program is accessible to individuals with diverse levels of experience, but having prior experience working with mental health issues and possessing strong interpersonal skills will enhance your application. Those with a degree may pursue a postgraduate certificate, while those without a degree can opt for a graduate-level equivalent qualification or a level 6 apprenticeship. The apprenticeship program caters to individuals lacking a degree but possessing valuable life experience or those seeking a career transition to serve the local community; for them, the introductory module on mental health may be appropriate. Upon completing the training, all trainees must fulfill the international and national criteria for registration with the pertinent psychological societies.
