The accrediting body typically mandates 60 days of academic work, equivalent to one day per week, in conjunction with supervised practice throughout an academic year. Our local organization, including specialist psychological therapists, psychiatrists, and other related professionals, will supervise and validate your therapeutic competencies during your training and subsequent employment at your service or practice location. The training program is accessible to individuals with diverse levels of experience, but having prior experience working with mental health issues and possessing strong interpersonal skills will enhance your application. Those with a degree may pursue a postgraduate certificate, while those without a degree can opt for a graduate-level equivalent qualification or a level 6 apprenticeship. The apprenticeship program caters to individuals lacking a degree but possessing valuable life experience or those seeking a career transition to serve the local community; for them, the introductory module on mental health may be appropriate.
